Emergency Snack Get my QR

Door policy

What happens to your number and your face, in plain English. The short version is on every QR page. This is all of it.

If you scanned a shirt, we keep

  • Your phone number.
  • Your first name, if you gave one.
  • A photo of you, taken when you asked.
  • When you ticked the consent box. That's the record that you agreed.
  • Your IP address, so one person can't flood a shirt with requests.

Who sees it

  • A solo shirt: only the person wearing it, in their Telegram.
  • A group shirt: everyone in that shirt's Telegram group chat. Your number included.
  • Nobody else. Your photo is never published and never shown on the web. It reaches the wearer through Telegram, and if you're approved, Twilio sends your one text.

How long it stays

  • Your photo is deleted 30 days after the request is decided, or 30 days after it expires unanswered.
  • Give up halfway and the half-finished request is deleted within two hours.
  • If you're approved, your number stays on that shirt's list until the wearer takes it off, or you ask us to.
  • If you're not, or nobody answers within 48 hours, your number goes on that shirt's do-not-ask list so it can't request again. It stays there until it's removed.
  • Your IP address and consent time stay with the request until it's deleted.

Nobody checks the number

We don't verify that the number is yours. Ticking the box is the record that you said it was, and that you're happy to get one text.

The one text

Only if you're approved, and only once. It says You've been approved as an Emergency Snacker by … with the wearer's name, then Snack responsibly. No links, no follow-ups, no marketing.

Getting it deleted

Email 03biotech_think@icloud.com with the number you used. We delete everything we hold for it (photo, number, requests, the lot) and reply within 7 days.

If you own a shirt

We keep your Telegram chat ID (or your group's), the name used in the approval text, your page's line and colour, and your list: approved numbers, first names, and who let each one in.

/pause stops new requests. To delete the lot, email us.
