Emergency Snack

A shirt that takes numbers for you.

A fun way to meet people. Someone scans your shirt and asks to be your snack: number and selfie. You tap Approve or Deny in Telegram. Approved people get one text. Everyone else hears nothing.

Both open Telegram. Solo if you decide alone, group if your group chat decides. First time? Getting started takes about two minutes.

House rules

  1. Scan

Someone points a phone at your chest. No app, no account.

  2. Ask

They leave their number and a selfie, and tick a box saying they'd take one text.

  3. Approved

It lands in your Telegram. Approve, and they get one text. Deny, or ignore it, and they're never told. Nobody gets turned down in public.

Getting started

About two minutes in Telegram, then however long printing takes.

  1. Get Telegram

Free on iPhone, Android and computer. It's where your requests land. The people who scan you don't need it. Get Telegram

  2. Open the bot

Tap Get my QR for a solo shirt, or Add to my group for a group chat (both below), then tap Start in Telegram.

  3. Say who you are

The solo bot asks what name goes in the approval text. A group uses the chat's name.

  4. Print your QR

The bot sends it straight away, with a print file. Put it on a shirt at least 8 cm wide and test it first. How to print it

  5. Go out

Wear it somewhere with people. When someone scans and asks, their photo, name and number land in Telegram.

  6. Approve or deny

Approve and they get one text. Deny or ignore it and they never hear a thing. Changed your mind later? /remove takes them off.

Two ways in

Which one? Solo: one person approves. Group: a Telegram group chat approves together, and the list is shared.

  • Solo

Your shirt, your call. Requests come to you in a Telegram chat with the bot, and nobody else sees them.

  • Group

One code for a whole group chat. Anyone in it can let someone in, first tap wins, and everyone sees the list, numbers included.
